“We Worship the Devil Inside the Home” — 1989 Oprah Interview | Judaism vs. Zionism: What Was She Alleging?

Includes video

In a remarkable 1989 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Vicki Polin—appearing under the name “Rachel”—described what she alleged were secret, multigenerational ritual practices within her family.

Polin identified herself as "Jewish" and described an extensive family history allegedly documenting who had participated in these practices, reportedly reaching back generations. During the interview, Oprah asks whether the family appeared from the outside to be an ordinary Jewish family—and whether they were allegedly “worshiping the devil inside the home.”

This footage is being examined as one piece of circumstantial evidence within a much larger investigation into Jewish history, Khazar/Ashkenazi ancestry, Zionism, religious interpretation, and allegations of occult influence. The argument presented by this project is that certain historical and religious traditions may have been transformed or “remixed” over time, creating questions that deserve investigation rather than automatic dismissal.

One interview doesn't prove an entire theory. But sometimes one strange piece of a puzzle makes you look twice at the entire picture.

This should also be distinguished from Judaism or Jewish people as a whole. The testimony concerns specific alleged practices within a particular family, and the broader claims surrounding it remain subjects for historical investigation and debate. The footage also comes from the era of the Satanic Panic, when allegations of secret ritual networks became widespread in American media.

Have things really changed since then—or have some practices simply become harder to see?

Watch the testimony. Examine the surrounding history. Compare the evidence. Follow the connections. And make your own assessment.
